Location
The Conference is held in Braga, an historic town on the North of Portugal, where the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, INL, is being installed. It is at a short distance of Porto International Airport and also close to the Spanish towns of Vigo and Santiago de Compostela. (see map).
The Conference itself takes place at the premises of the University of Minho in Gualtar, Braga. The Meetings scheduled for the day before the Conference (19th November 2007) will be held at the Bom Jesus complex of hotels, where most of the participants will be lodged and a 5 minutes drive from the University Campus. Special transportation between Airport/Hotels/Campus will be available at appropriate times.
If you want to travel independently from/to Porto Airport to/from Braga the simplest way is by taxi. The price is approximately 45~60€. A more economical alternative is using the subway (Metro) between the airport and the Campanhã train station in Porto, and one of the frequent trains between Porto and Braga . In Braga you can use the TUB bus service (line #2 from the train station to Bom Jesus and the University – www.tub.pt).
